Growing a team of leaders in Ethiopia's first Newfrontiers fellowship, Semiawe Berhan Church, alongside Pastor Fisseha Tesfaye, in relationship with Apostle Edward Buria's East and Central Africa Apostolic Forum.

Strengthening children orphaned by HIV-AIDS through volunteering at AHOPE Children's Home.  We serve in after-school English and tutorial programs with 7-15 year-olds, as mentors to volunteers who come for short-term service, as trainers for caregivers, and as a sounding-board for Ethiopian staff who face ground-breaking decisions now that anti-retroviral drugs have changed the landscape of raising afflicted orphans to adulthood.

Building language and culture bridges at All God's Children Adoption Agency for orphans in the adoption process to America by having conversational English classes, becoming grandparent figures to toddlers, and holding infants.

Living in a cross-cultural setting with our Ethiopian son, his wife and daughter in a neighborhood made up of Christians, Muslims and traditional Orthodox where our gospel-based lifestyle speaks louder than words.

Encouraging others with a missional mindset—Ethiopians and volunteers from other nations—to believe that God wants to make his promise to Abraham a living reality: through YOU will all the families of the earth be blessed.
